With stay-at-home orders in place and experiencing a complete lack of privacy as a result, I designed this 288 sf “home” office on my property as a retreat from my own family. The three-level space has a conference table and library on the lower level, a one-two work stations on the second floor and a small roof deck. The three levels are connected by an integrally-designed step ladder. The structure has a 12×12 footprint and rests on 4 concrete Sonotubes- one in each corner. The flat roof has space for three solar panels which is enough to provide the small amount of energy that would be required to power the studio.
