STEPHEN CHUNG

Stephen Chung, AIA, LEED AP is a registered architect and Principal of Stephen Chung, Architect. Based in Boston and now with a satellite in Sarasota, his focus is on residential and hospitality projects. In 2009, Casas Internacional published a monograph dedicated to eleven of his residential projects. Before setting up his own studio, Stephen interned at Richard Meier and Partners in New York, worked for Machado Silvetti in Boston and collaborated with uber designer, Philippe Starck. In addition to practice, Stephen has taught design at several institutions, including Cornell, Syracuse, the Rhode Island School of Design, the University of Texas at Austin and Yale University. Stephen received his architecture degree from Harvard.

Stephen is the Executive Producer and Host of a television show for public television called Cool Spaces: The Best of New Architecture. In the show, Stephen leads viewers on a tour of the world’s newest and most provocative architecture. www.coolspaces.tv   Currently, he is at work on a public television special entitled “Presidential Libraries: Building A Legacy”.

Stephen has appeared as on-air talent for many design programs on HGTV, Travel Channel, Fine Living Network and the Showtime Network. He also hosted a series of videos about architecture for the American Institute of Architects and hosted the live TV Broadcast of the National AIA Convention called “Architect Live” for many years.
